RVL Studio

Who

RVL Studio is the creative home of Rachel Lai — a strategic partner to brands and artists looking to connect with their audience through messaging, creative direction, and thoughtful marketing. Her tagline is “making mood boards a reality”, and that’s exactly what Rachel does — she has an incredible creative eye.

Rachel had a clear vision for her personal brand, but her old website wasn’t quite reflecting it. Visually, it was halfway there — her fonts and colors weren’t bad, but they weren’t great, either. More importantly, the structure of her previous website was confusing, and the overall experience didn’t match the quality of her work. She was ready for a refresh that would better represent her aesthetic, clearly communicate her services, and give her the confidence to send people to her site again.

What

We started by refining her color palette and building out a four-font type suite that felt elevated, expressive, and unmistakably Rachel. The typography does a lot of heavy lifting here — each font was chosen to balance structure with personality, helping to give the site clarity without losing its creative edge.

On the strategy side, we collaborated to restructure the website so it would clearly communicate what Rachel does and make it easy for visitors to explore her work. Because her audience is mostly other creatives, we knew the site had to feel as inspiring as it was intuitive — and we were intentional about guiding people through the experience from start to finish.

One of my favorite details is the interactive mood board on the homepage. From the start, we knew we wanted to bring her tagline to life in a literal way — and the final result is both fun and functional. Even better, it’s fully editable, so Rachel can update the images herself anytime to reflect her current vibe.

Now, Rachel’s digital home is polished, personal, and creatively aligned — the kind of site that makes you want to explore every page.
